Kieran Rundle Weekly Update

 Not much to report in this blog post, everything has been printed and framed. Website has final updates made on pages after I found the errors in coloring. Photos will be hung in gallery tomorrow during Senior Show.

Kieran Rundle Weekly Check in

 I finalized the printing (had to redo 2) and am waiting until class to learn how to do installations in the gallery before getting picture hanging hooks to make sure that will be permitted.

Artitecture 2: Update 10 & Website

Jedara Reyes Weekly Update

 The website still feels empty to me so I had the idea to do complete projects rather than the juried works page. So, I have Emporia, Virginia so I've added my other recent collection.

To answer the question on the last post "I dont see how those are composite images. Is somthing photoshopped in there?"

Two of the images were photoshopped so hopefully that means I did a good job! Everytime I photoshop even if it's something small like removing a blemish or taking out a sign I feel like it's so obvious but maybe it's because I worked on it and overanalyze that one area.

This week I was in Emporia I took more photos for that collection. I know were supposed to always be shooting so hopefully it's okay it wasn't for the portfolio/website though I suppose that collection is up there. Maybe one of these could replace one photo that's currently up there. I also did a grad shoot today and another next week so between those two shoots I'm gonna use some of the portraits for the website.

Chanté Gipson Update

I have bought my frames and additional materials from Amazon and Jerry's online. Currently, I am waiting for my frames to get here, which should either be Tuesday or Wednesday of this upcoming week. I plan to begin printing my photos once the frames are here.

Website update:

I didn't play around with anything on the desktop version but I entirely reformatted the pages with the photo series for the phone version so they fit nicer.

Project update:

This week has been a battle of wills with first the printer and then frames.

When I finished printing, I excitedly took them back to my house to frame them in the nice frames I originally got. They were the kind with the skinny border just on the edges and for some reason Michaels measured them from the outside of the frame to outside of the frame not the inner edges so every photo I cut was too big by a fraction of an inch. 

I then went to plan B but Amazon was out of stock and Target got pricey too quickly so I turned to Walmart and successfully found matching frames.

My big question: With the back of the frames looking like this with the little triangle hooks, how do I hang them?

Chanté Gipson Weekly Update

This week I spent most of my time figuring out my layout for Senior Show. I have looked at various frames and sizes online. I decided that I want to make four of my images 13 x 19 in. and six of them 8 x 10 in. without a window mat. When printing the images should they have a white border around it or be borderless? Additionally, if the images are printed with a border will that change the dimensions of the image?

For my website, I readjusted the size of the images for my series pages, so now there are three columns instead of two. I still need to figure out how to adjust the size of the two images on my home page. I am not sure if I should keep the images on the home page or change it to something else.

 The advice for the website was

•  to remove the juried work so I've done so
• make the photos smaller- i've tried everything so far and adobe wont let me so im gonna research more on it so far it only allows margin changes or if you make it smaller it creates huge gaps on the page AND you still have to scroll which was the reason for downsizing
• remove some images from the Emporia, Virginia page
• Change/ remove photos from my portfolio page so I took some away and added some new ones
• edit cover photo for emporia, virgina

Here's the composite images i've worked on along with some other shots I've been working on.

Sorry if some appear too dark I did notice they were as I wanted on my computer but when I sent them to my phone I needed to brighten them. But, that was only the case for some photos not all which I found confusing.

• Switched from white on black to traditional black on white (except melancholia page because white felt wrong)
• Changed button colors to all be the same
• Picked out new front photograph
• adjusted all layouts on phone view as well
