Tyarria Post 10

 Website Updates : This weekend I plan on minimizing my selection of photographs and choosing my best images rather than showcasing every single thing that I've done in my photographic career. 

Project updates: I'm in my final stages of printing. I'll have a mock up created by the end of this weekend, once I show Greta my mock up I'll move towards getting my final together to present. 

Kweku Asafu-Adjaye Updates & Website

Hey everyone!

After a long lapse of nothingness, here are some updates:

1. The website is just about complete. Here is the link Arts By Kweku
2. For the project itself, I got approval that it can be done. And the location of the setup. As well as where in the gallery it can be set up. 
3. With that...I spoke to Garth at the Chrysler Museum. An exhibition prep, he told me a suggestion of using Gatorfoam board as a potential material to create the 3 walls. It can be painted on and hold structurally sound for the weeks it will be around.

Next update will be a mock set up of the exhibition.

 I switched some of the images on my website and made separate sections for portraits and staged narratives.

Post Nine

 This week I worked on post production for the photos that I have already taken. Unfortunately several people cancelled on the shoot last week so we will have to do it this Saturday instead. If I can not get them to show up then I have a backup plan to rearrange the book and change the story. Here are some of the edited images. I have also been working on designing a book cover.

Websites by Alec Soth, Hank Willis Thomas, and Andi Schreiber told out to me the most. The layout of their websites is very clean to and is easy to navigate through. Hank Willis Thomas is very minimal and easy to navigate through as well. 

I will most likey be using this blog just to showcase my work being that my career path has changed

Website Questions:

1. Depending on what you do with your photography skills require different things to be put up, if you are planning on going in more than one direction is it better to have a separate site for the diffrences or just have two different categories on your site? For example, if I am doing product photography should I make a different section than something else like event photography, or make something entirely new? Is it even a good idea to have both on there?

2. When posting images to websites, is it a good idea to mark it with a water mark/ logo/ some sort of signature? Even if someone can not download your image, they could still scree shot/ screen capture it and have the potential to use it without permission if you don't want others just freely using your work. Is this something that should be worried about now or is it less concerning than other things?

3. Are there any good methods to choosing what works/ images to put or not to put on the website? Is it a good idea to go in and delete things from time to time to "de-clutter" or it just personal preference and to leave work up there for good is something that will not effect much.

Hey Team, posting what I shot over the spring break. I enjoyed these images the most! I am trying my best to let ideas flow and not just shoot something based off of my prior concept (escape). 

 

Post 8: Third Shoot

 This time we shot with the second group at the same park as last time. The images came out okay. I do think we need to have one or two more shoots with each group but unfortunately the people I've been shooting with are starting to really get busy and I don't know many others willing/able to replace them. I am also struggling to choose the best of my own images after looking at them so long.
