The inspiration that i got for my project was from this artist Dewoud Bey. He did a whole series with students taking their portraits. He would sit down with the students, and talk to each one of them, and have them wright something about themselves. A lot of the stuff was very personal, and most of the students he photographed were minorities. I feel my images reflect what he was trying to do and say. Dewoud is concerned about the same issues as me so its interesting to see his perspective on things.
