My series Thank You for Shopping Here isn't entirely complete but I am finished as far as Senior Show and Photo Sem 2. I wish to continue this series in book form and hopefully get it published once I'm satisfied with the photos.

Hi, Jasmine: I checked out your website on my Mac and, while the content is solid, I found the layout a little confusing - which may just be a platform issue. On the homepage, for example, my full screen is taken up just with the statement that you are expanding your book, with no suggestion to scroll down for images - leaving the impression that the page is otherwise blank. Stating that your latest work in progress is incomplete may also not be the first impression you want to leave with your audience. As a suggestion, you might want to make the homepage just a good, strong image with your name and menu bar at the top the way they are now. That way, readers will see right away who you are as an artist, as well as the quality of the work you do, and will be encouraged to explore your work further through the navigation options you've provided. Just a suggestion! And, as I said, the way the page shows up on my computer may not be the way it looks on anyone else's.
ReplyDeleteSame format when I looked at the website, too: you have to scroll to see the images on the home page. Just a simple reversal of those couple images on top and the statement of "in progress" below would work. As for the "Photography" gallery, I don't know about having all the series in one long sequence. I would prefer a way to have them on separate pages. Perhaps it is possible to create a drop-down menu, so when you click on "Photography" the options for other pages appear (each page dedicated to a series, that is).
