Feedback?

Hey all! I hope everyone had a great spring break! I had an idea of what to do for my senior show project, which also crosses over into this project. So for my NASCAR fan series I have been going back and forth with the idea of black and white and color. Part of me wants to keep them in color becuase they are so vibrant already, but part of me thinks it will be interesting for them to be black and white. I also keep going back to the idea of having one part of the photo in color if the rest is in black and white. Is that too chiche? If you could let me know what you think of this idea I would appreciate it.

  1. I would either do all color or all black and white.
Color would be the natural inclination, but perhaps black and white could be interesting because it is unanticipated.
It could lend itself to a more detached, more deliberate observation of everything seen. Color would make you feel like you're really there. So, it would go back to your intention - where you want the viewer to be.
Also, you could post some of your images for us (the same ones) in both color and in black and white and that would help us see the possibilities.

  2. I agree with Michael that you should go with all BW or all color. My preference would be for color, as it helps the photos reflect the excitement and noise (physical and emotional) of the event. But I agree with Michael that, if you want the viewer to feel like more of an impartial observer rather than a participant, BW might be a good choicel
