Another week, another handful of photos . . . not much else to report this week except that I have made a mental note to myself that I need to get my email address on my website changed to kerry@kerrykilburnphotography.com. This will be fun because Zenfolio doesn't host email, so I will have to go through third parties to get it done. Which is why I've been putting it off :) But all the pros say this is the way to go, so now that I actually have a tiny bit of breathing room, I will be getting on it. Otherwise, just shooting, selecting, organizing, editing, etc. - just like the book says!

Sorry this took a while - better late than never, I suppose.
ReplyDeleteLove that reflection photo! There's also the compelling factor of the landscape as a reflection of the lives of inhabitants: a nice convergence here then.
The one with the pitchfork almost has something, but the light is a bit harsh. Contrarily, the light and composition are terrific for the closer one in the moss and leaves. However, I was left uncertain by the text on the card and what the origin of it is.
How is the whole scope of the series looking to you so far? I wonder where it will begin and end.
As for the email stuff, yeah I've heard the repeated mentions about a professional email address. When I was doing research on grad schools, it seemed to me that photo professors were a mixed bag - I saw a lot of personal emails and prof. A fair in-between is using your school email address.
I don't think it would be a determining factor but it can be good branding.
