Chanté Gipson Sunday Update

This week I worked on my website and shot some photos for my project. For my website, I added information for my bio and contact. My purpose for making the site is to showcase some of my strongest work that portrays the concept I have been working on the last three semesters. The website I am working on now will be used for fine art purposes. Additionally, in the future I want to create a website specifically for commercial work because I am interested in working commercially. A few things I like about my website so far are the layout of the images, organization of the pages, and the ease of navigation.

Next week I plan to refine my website a bit, continue photographing, and finalizing images that will be included in my series. Here is one of the images I took this week.

Additional Questions:

When making a contact page should I include my phone number and Instagram?

How do I create an email that reflects the URL of my website for Squarespace?

Do I have to add an artist statement about my work onto the site?

  1. You do not need to have an artist statement. That is your choice. Put your email but no phone number. Yes link to insta. You can buy your name as a domain lots of places and then host it at square space. Just google domaine names. You can probable also do it through square space.
