Christina Crespo-Linda Morrow

Linda Morrow

Linda Morrow created a series that depicts women in nature called Echoes of Ovid.  The idea of the women was inspired by a mythical goddess. All of these photos are in black and white. The women's bodies are not fully visible. The photos are either cropped, showing just a portion of the women or somehow distorted. The women fill the frame, usually bleeding off of at least two sides. There is not a lot of contrast in the photos. The women blend in with the plants, and nature that surround them.

I like the idea of combining women and nature. I am still wondering if I should include some pictures that are similar in style but of dried flowers with the pictures I am going to have of the women in the show. I also like the use of subtle highlights on the women in these pictures.
