Rachel Trautmann: Weekly Update

Whoa! Washington D.C. was an experience. I did a decent amount of research before I left. I wanted to make sure I had time to cover all the protests I wanted to cover. I also didn't want to get lost on the metro!!! Well, only 30 minutes into walking around D.C. I was confronted by the Anti-Capitalist March that just happened to be the only violent protest all day (the broken windows and things were them). While I was photographing them, I unknowingly got trapped by cop cars and cops with pepper spray guns...so I have now experienced pepper spray. Not fun. The Women's March the following day was the complete opposite feel overall.
The photos below are just a couple of quick edits from Inauguration Day. I haven't had a chance to upload my photos from the Women's March.

  1. Omg wow! DC looked like it was definitely full of excitement. There were so many people. I really think that the 3rd image is very interesting and the 6th. I would really like to see more photos of from the march.
