As far as chapter one goes, here is my reflection of the chapter. Chapter one talks about the construction of a portfolio. The chapter outlines the importance of knowing what to put in, and how much. We as artists have so much to consider. We need to think about the stages, context, and our purpose. The stages guide us to becoming "fine artists". As outline from the chapter, the first stage starts out with experimenting. From said stage, we then migrate to developing ideas to becoming "fine artists". Completion of all stages calls for time and effort. As a photographer, many photos will be taken. Vast ideas will have to be put to trail. The ending results of such an achievement will be worth all the while. Now, what about the context? You must consider the driving force behind your photograph. Lastly while working, remember that said driving force. To recount, what has chapter one taught me? Chapter one reinforces the idea of fine art not coming easy. You need a driving force. You have to put in time. You must also consider what is too much and too little.

Barry Green's Project: Where will it go? Chapter One Recap.
After our last class meeting, I sat back and really thought about where I wanted to take my project. That being said, a final decision has been made. I still plan to create a series of ten to fifteen photos. All of which will take into account both the passage of time and landscapes. Needless to say, I have an interest toward landscapes (buildings, country scapes, beach scenes, etc). So, why not incorporate that into the project? I plan on adding little pieces of me into the series to offer a unique spin, literally. I will strategically place & pose myself within the photos. Timed photos will give me the ability to carry out such an action. To which, you will see a humorous Barry "in his element".
