Akira Barnes _Week 9

 After browsing through a few websites two of them stood out to me who are photographers who work I enjoy, Raven B Varona and Andrew Lau. 

Raven "Ravie B." Varona is a photographer based in New York. When looking at her portfolio, you'll notice plenty of faces familiar looking faces. She normally is tapped by artist in the music industry to capture their portraits. What I liked about her website is that even though it has the photographer minimalist touch. I like her inclusion of green color and I think it really nice touch to add to website. On her website she just has photographs pertaining to her work. But it breaks down into commercial work, editorials and etc.  She's probably my top photographer at the moment, I really enjoyed her work she did with Beyonce. And it was how I learned of her as well.

Andrew Lau was a photographer I had personally discovered through instagram. His work caught me eye at the time because it centered around street photography and fashion. And I was super interested in shooting sneakers like jordans and nikes. Over the years he has turned his focus on just street photography. What I loved about his website is that he had like a personal photographs tab on his website. It contained pictures from his travels around the world and they were still website quality good.

Questions

1. Are they any designs or things to stay away from when creating a website? Most photographers websites are simple and straight forward. But appearance wise its very boring. 

2. It may seem very unprofessional but as a last resort could you use a tumblr as a photograph website?

3. If you don't photograph multiple things had should you create your website to showcase your expertise?
