Project Proposal

 For my project, I would like to work toward producing a series. Photo series expose viewers to stories portrayed in picture. These stories typically come in the following forms: documentary, scientific, historic, and or artistic. For my series, I would like to focus on documentation. Specifically, I want viewers to see a documentation about change over time. Hence the name for my project, “Time”.  

         A great amount of change comes with the progression of time. For my project, we will see the documentation of time unfolding before us. The project calls for a series of ten photos depicting change over time. The depiction of time will be reflected from one single subject. While I do not have one subject nailed down yet, several options remain. The several desired options include the following: building construction, bridge construction, the growth of a Leopard Gecko, the pregnancy of a Guinea Pig, and or the various strikes of lightning. The selection of my subjects relies on the project’s focal point, time. In the meantime, I will work from all the listed options. Once we are closer to the project’s midpoint, I will make a final selection from the given desired options of subject. Part of my decision is also drawn from the subject’s conditions. Will we be able to have an electrical storm role through in time of the project’s completion? Will the Guinea Pig’s pregnancy line up with the timeline of the project? These questions will better determine the project’s subject. But regardless, my project will follow along a specific timeline. The goal is to have a subject selected by mid-February. The project is slated to be completed between March and early to mid-April.
