Roger Evans_Week 2_Project Post

I have decided that each week, I am going to work on one or two compositions of photographs. I am deciding to do this so that I can fully flesh out each idea and make sure I can put great effort into each photo. For my lighting photography project, The sad/happy theme didn't come until last minute, so I didn't have time to fully get the perfect compositions and it just looked rushed for some photos.

So, for this past week, I sat down and planned out some ideas for photos and I think I came up with some interesting ones which I'm excited for. I also started taking photos for my first image which is the mirror shot where I am distraught looking into the mirror but happy looking back to contrast how I feel on the inside versus what I look like on the outside.

I took multiple photos in my room with my mirror, but I went to the studio to take some more professional setting photos. Next week, I plan on working on two more sets of images.

Also, Allison, what you said about playing with the idea that happiness/sadness is experienced differently by others is really interesting and I think I could also play around with that!

  1. I think your plan for the semester is organized and thorough. Working on one a time is a wise decision so you can adapt them and change them and grow with each new one you do. I applaud your work ethis and braking it down to one a week.

  2. Hey Roger, I like your approach! I think it is a great way to keep organized and not get overwhelmed. Do you keep notes of ideas during your process? If not, I think you should as it may help further along if you feel stuck or need to revisit a particular setup.
