Hi, everyone I've been working on my boxes and try different compositions with the items. Right now I'm working on a Greek mythology box, "Pandora's Box". To give a little background, Pandora was figure in greek mythology who opened a box she wasn't suppose to, releasing all the sickness and death in the world, killing a great deal of people.
For my box I wanted to do the opposite of representing sickness and death. I wanted to do a box where it represented health and cleanliness. Currently I'm playing around with having multiple boxes in one photo or having some items not in the box. Another thing I'm testing doing a still life set up and focusing in on labels on the items. My hope is to arrange some of these photos in a collage like manner.
Hey Akira, I think having multiple boxes in one photo is a cool idea. I think these are great and I'm excited to see more!
ReplyDeleteI am not sure about the detail shots. I can see how they could beuseful if you are going to make the collaged ad like images however I find the photographs not interesting. Think about just concentrating on the one box image and make it fabulous. What can you do to create a fantastic image? The idea is great but the photo needs to be great too. If you only end up making 4-5 of them and printing them large that is ok. How do you make an exciting image. This one is more sophisticated thatn last semester but you can go further. Would you want to buy this? The box itself does not look good. I think you have the research idea down and now you need to improve the visual.
