For this week, I decided to work on working on thinking of ideas, I came up with:
-take a photo of a cat or my cat in a pan or wok
-take a photo of me lifting weights
-me next to a nice car
-Asian dish with a fork
I also took some photos this week of double my identity with Asian makeup and outfit on one side and American on the other
These are beautifully done. The other idea you are throwning out.cat in a wok are cartoonish. Maybe do not think of other people stereotypes as then you are just repeating those stereotypes. Instead think about how you feel about what people say and focus more inwardly. Do you have some curiosity about your heritage? What are the confilcts you personally feel? Also a portrait like this one should be vertical.
ReplyDeleteYes! I agree with Greta, this are beautifully done, but the composition would be more fitting in portrait orientation. I really like how you are not looking straight on at the camera, it adds emotion and awkwardness (in a good way, like questioning comfort in the identify) to it.
