Part three of the book was informative and thought provoking. To start thinking of what we want our work to be, but who our overall target audience should be as well. I really like how the author included tips on how to do write ups for galleries & book publishing as well as including insight from people with experience in those areas.
The section about calls for entry and contest stuck out to me because this is something so easy for us to access. I have done it with a few photographs and artwork. In fact, I have had work exhibited in Budapest. While the entry was nothing special, makes for a great line on the CVV! What came to me after reading this part is me questioning why I am not searching through this opportunity more often.
If you don’t already follow Lenscratch on Instagram, you should as they have open calls for photographers. Callforentry.com is also another one I have had a few interesting ones so up. Like the author said is some would cost but there are free ones.
